Filolio

Password-protected photo gallery — private, polished, free

A raw Google Drive or Dropbox link works, but anyone with the link can share it further. A password protection layer means only the intended client sees the photos. It’s the professional move between a bare link and nothing at all — and it comes free on Filolio. Set a password when creating the gallery, send the link and password to your client, they enter it once and browse the full gallery.

How it works

Create a gallery from your Google Drive or Dropbox folder in Filolio. During setup, choose an optional password — anything you and your client agree on. When your client visits the link, they enter the password once, and the gallery unlocks. No account signup, no app download, no friction. They see the full gallery with lightbox navigation and can download full-resolution images.

Common questions

Is password protection free?
Yes. Password protection is a free, included feature on every Filolio plan. Set it per gallery or leave it off — your choice.
Does my client need an account to view?
No account required. Your client receives the gallery link and password, enters the password once, and browses the full gallery. Nothing to install, no signup, no friction.
Can I change the password later?
Yes. Edit the gallery in your dashboard and update or remove the password anytime. The change takes effect immediately.
Can someone guess the gallery link?
No. Gallery links are randomly generated — no pattern, no directory listing, no way to stumble upon them. A password is an independent second layer on top of that.
